Fund Raising
Brain
Tumours kill more children and young adults than leukemia but research is
drastically under funded. The SDBTT Eleanor French Fund is dedicated to
raising funds for brain tumour research in conjunction with the Samantha Dickson
Brain Tumour Trust. The SDBTT is the largest single funder of laboratory
based brain tumour research in the United Kingdom.

Over the years there have been a number of charities that have helped us, or we have helped fundraise for, or both! Below are a list of charities that we believe are worthy of your support. Click on the Logo's to find out more.
CHICS
was formed in 1986 to help families and children with cancer. They provide
caravans for respite use, arrange day trips, holidays, support meetings and much
more. Eleanor has enjoyed a number of CHICS trips.
They are always very well organised and the cost is kept to a minimum.
The
Kieran Mess Foundation is a new charity set up with the goal of providing
additional quality of life for children with brain tumours. Although we
never met Kieran, he and his parents are an important part of our lives.
Please give this charity your support.
When
You Wish Upon A Star is a charity which fulfils the wishes of children with life
threatening and terminal illnesses. The charity has now granted over 5000
wishes. During 2007 this charity granted Eleanor her wish to go to
Disneyland in Florida.
The highlight of each year is to charter 4 planes to take 400 children to Lapland to meet Father Christmas.
'IMAGINE'
is the name of Alder Hey's charity - a fundraising initiative that helps
Alder Hey to continue pioneering work, caring for the health of over 200,000
children and young people per year.
Every donation received will help them to achieve
a little bit more, from researching medical conditions, to buying vital
equipment - with your help, IMAGINE will improve the lives of children
worldwide.
